Advice to Argyll Clients wishing to enter:
Eligibility
The Awards are open to all of Argyll’s general insurance, commercial clients. Entries do not need to be lengthy but do have to describe fully the ‘story’ behind the application. Entries must reach Argyll’s Worthing office no later than 5pm on Friday September 29th 2006. They may be faxed, e-mailed or posted.
Covering Statement
Please send a statement explaining your risk management achievement in either hard copy or as a Word document attached to an e-mail. As a guide we are suggesting that this statement is approximately 1000 words long. Additionally you may feel that there is value in submitting supporting materials to strengthen your entry. These might include copies of any plans, training materials etc and can be supplied in whatever format is most practical.
Demonstrate your Achievement
It will be important to demonstrate to the judges what your business has achieved, and how it has benefited. There should be quantitative measures illustrated within your statement, backed by a clear documented plan, strategy or initiative. This will demonstrate to the judges that the business was clear about its objectives and that it has successfully achieved them. All information contained in the entries and marked confidential will remain so, and will not be released to any other party without the permission of the entrant.
Categories
- Consistent good practice – Entries will demonstrate consistent and sustained good practice, achievement and beneficial outcomes as a result of their risk management regime.
- Innovation – Entries will show that a specific innovation or initiative has had significant impact upon the management of risk within their business.
Please state clearly which category you are entering and label the supporting material accordingly. If entering both categories, a separate submission will be required for each. Entrants will need to show a significant contribution to the advancement of risk management or demonstrate the benefits of a risk management programme within the business. The application of new techniques, successful identification and minimisation of risk are likely to feature in entries for both categories
